Bees, Trees, and Clean Water

March 25, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

With spring right around the corner, there’s no better time to learn about native plant landscaping and pollinators. Join us on Saturday, March 25 for an exciting, educational event: “Bees, Trees, and Clean Water.”

Not only is native plant landscaping beautiful to the eye, it provides important habitat for pollinating insects, helps curb polluted runoff, and much more. At this event, learn how native plants can enhance the beauty of yards and gardens, attract beneficial birds and insects, and improve the health of local creeks and the Chesapeake Bay.

Lunch will be provided and the afternoon will include hands-on workshops. Speakers include Kevin McLean, Virginia Conservation Assistance Program Coordinator, Richard McCormick, beekeeper and Chesterfield Master Gardener, staff from the SoilKeepers, and staff from the Department of Forestry.
