CWA ” A Wood of Our Own” Event – Cormonachan Woodlands, near Loc

This will be the 11th ‘AWoOO’ event in the much-valued programme organised for- and delivered by – Argyll community woodlanders of all sizes and complexions, funded by the FCS Community Fund. The event will take place one Wednesday 22nd February at Cormonachan Woodlands, just outside Lochgoilhead.
Our hosts will be the Cormonachan Woodlands Association who manage 20 hectares of Atlantic Oakwood on a purely voluntary basis under management agreement with landowners Forestry Commission Scotland. The woodlands are also an essential resource for the Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre who use them year-round for hosting school and college groups from all over Scotland – as do Lochgoilhead Primary School who run Forest School activities there for their own pupils.
