Tree Grafting

Learn the art of tree grafting for use in your orchard or home garden. Participants will first learn the science and mechanics of grafting and budding, then receive instruction on cleft, bark, bud, and whip & tongue grafting. Then practice doing some hands-on grafting of your own.
For tool safety, participants will be working in pairs with a spotter. If you bring someone with you, make sure they’re someone you trust!
This is a “mechanical” grafting workshop, meaning we won’t be using trees with a root-stock, and you’ll quickly understand why.
All materials & tools will be provided.
