Join us for Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards’ (SAWS) inaugural Appalachian Roots fundraising event. Hosted by Mess Hall, a unique culinary incubator located in Northeast DC, this special evening will celebrate the tastes, stories, and heritage of the southern Appalachian Region. The night will feature live music by Bearcat Wildcat and a five-course farm-to-table meal prepared by Chef Mike Costello and Amy Dawson of Lost Creek Farms. Bill Hodge, Executive Director of SAWS, will share stories about the organization’s efforts to provide public access to and protection for this unique region of the country.
