December 6, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Blue Planet Forum is a free environmental lecture series with a mission to educate and engage the public on important environmental issues affecting Hampton Roads and the nation.

This edition of the Blue Planet Forum will focus on what is often called,”the most important fish in the sea”—menhaden. An expert panel will discuss why menhaden matter and the future prospects for the fishery.

The panelists include:

-Louis Daniel, Former Director, North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries
-Dick Russell, Author, “Striper Wars”
-Jack Travelstead, Former Commissioner, Virginia Marine Resources Commission

The event is free, but registration is requested. Register here! – http://www.cbf.org/events/other/va/blue-planet-forum/registration

Deadline to register is November 23, 2016.

We are also looking for a few volunteers to help with the event. To volunteer, please contact Tanner Council at tcouncil@cbf.org or 757-622-1964.
