April 25, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Hampton Roads is one of the most vulnerable areas in the country to our warming climate. Hear an expert panel discuss adaptation strategies employed by coastal cities, ways to protect our waterways while coping with sea level rise and recurrent flooding, and the role science can play in helping our community prepare for this global challenge. A question and answer session will follow the presentations.
The panel includes:
– Dan Burger, Chair of the Charleston Resilience Network
– Dr. Don Boesch, President, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science
– Dr. Beth McGee, Director of Science and Agricultural Policy, Chesapeake Bay Foundation
– Dale Morris, Senior Economist, Royal Netherlands Embassy
The Blue Planet Forum is a free environmental lecture series. Its mission is to educate and engage the public on important environmental issues affecting Hampton Roads and the nation.
