Books & Cooks: King Solomon’s Table by Joan Nathan

April 21, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

How do recipes reveal the culture, climate, and history of a place and its people? How does food knit together a global community like the Jewish diaspora?

Join cookbook author Joan Nathan for a cooking demonstration from her latest book “King Solomon’s Table: A Culinary Exploration of Jewish Cooking from Around the World” in the museum’s demonstration kitchen on the first floor. After the demo, Joan will also sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase on site.

This program is part of the Smithsonian Food History series “Books & Cooks,” where chefs and authors share their recipes and research with museum visitors.
