Join Up Top Acres, The Lemon Collective DC and Misfit Juicery in celebrating the environment: our city, our community and the beautiful things that it grows. We are excited to host DC at our flagship rooftop farm in the Capitol Riverfront, where spring planting is in full swing.

Rooftop Yoga
9am-10am
Taught by Haley Fulford

We’ll start our day with a rooftop yoga class. Certified yoga instructor Haley Fulford will lead us through a 45 minute long Vinyasa practice. Spa water made from rooftop herbs, MISFIT Juicery drinks and coffee will be provided. The class will be followed by a rooftop farm tour, where we will talk about urban agriculture and food waste with our friends at MISFIT. Bring your own yoga mat, towel and positive vibes.

Block Printing Plants
10:30am-12 pm
Taught by Kate Zaremba

What is Block Printing? It’s a type of relief printing where design motifs are printed with wooden, linoleum or rubber blocks. Woodblock Printing is one of the earliest methods of textile printing.

We will be using rubber to create blocks for printing in this class.

What you’ll learn: We’ll look at examples of block printing, discuss various techniques on how to design for relief printing, then we’ll turn a simple sketch into a block and colorful prints!

What you’ll get: Rubber blocks to create your designs and high quality art paper for printing. Each person will take home their prints and the blocks that they create!

Food Styling and Photography
12:30pm- 2pm
Taught by Vina Sananikone

Experience food in a fresh new way as you learn the tricks of the trade! Transform your pictures with a lesson in both mobile and DSLR food photography 101. In this hands-on class we’ll create beautiful Instagram and blog-worthy photos with produce from the rooftop farm.

Flower Crowns
2:30pm-4pm
Taught by Linny Giffin

Gather your pals for an afternoon of flower crown making at Up Top Acres. This is an all materials included workshop where you’ll learn how to create your own crown, the basics of floral arranging and you’ll have the opportunity to snap some *very* instagram-able pictures with your besties.

We’ll teach you how to preserve your crown so you can march around with flowers on your head long after class.

Terrariums
4:30- 6pm
Taught by Holley Simmons

Not a gardener? No problem! Open terrariums are a hands-off way to add greenery to your home. They actually thrive when you ignore them!

Join us for a terrarium class with succulents, moss, rocks and a surprise decorative element!

The price includes all materials, care instructions and an hour-long lesson.
