Brownsville Preserve Workday

Volunteers are needed to help with various projects to make improvements at our Brownsville Preserve in Nassawadox on the Eastern Shore.

Tuesday, December 13 (9:00-3:00)
– Work to improve trails and roads: volunteers should be comfortable working with hand tools like loppers and hand saws and be comfortable working around chainsaws, weed eaters, chippers and other types of power equipment. Volunteers may be cutting, dragging and helping to feed limbs into the chipper.
– Maximum 6 volunteers

Volunteers will meet at the Virginia Coast Reserve Office or the shop (just before the office). Signs will be posted. Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear boots and gloves and bring a packed lunch and re-fillable water bottle. Snacks and water will be provided. Below are the workday dates and times.
