Enjoy an evening of jazz at Marvin Gaye Park with the Capitol Hill Jazz Jam All-Stars. The live performance is scheduled to be in Marvin Gaye Park, at the corner of Division Ave. & Foote St. in NE Washington.

The Capitol Hill Jazz Jam All-Stars features local musicians that aim to revive the local jazz scene. They create a space where musicians of different abilities can come together and learn from one another by hosting jam sessions.

Founded by Washington, D.C. native and saxophonist Herb Scott in February 2015, the Jam has become D.C.’s newest and greatest Jazz Jam Session. He learned how to play the saxophone at the Sitar Center for the Arts. Scott’s first performance was at the Kennedy Center at age thirteen. After graduating the Duke Ellington School of Arts, he did a show with Herbie Hancock, performed at the White House, recorded alongside Dave Chappelle, and studied jazz at Michigan State University.
