Community Herbalism Class six-week series
June 12, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - July 17, 2017 @ 9:00 pm
This class is intended for students who wish to understand the basics of community herbalsim (using easily-accessible plants within networks of friends, families, and other community groups). We will cover basics of herbal energetics, actions, and organ affinities; histories of herbal care; plant identification and wildcrafting; basic medicine-making; and, of course, detailed information about using a variety of local plants. We will focus on plants that already grow here and those that are easily cultivated by the beginner gardener.
Please email littleredbirdbotanicals@gmail.com with any questions.
Tickets are priced on a sliding scale. For more general info about my sliding scale, please see http://www.littleredbirdbotanicals.com/CSA-sliding-scale (note: the prices listed on this page are for a seperate program but the information given is relevent).
There is one work-trade position open for an individual to help set up and clean up before/after class each week. The position will be filled according to financial need; priority is given to individuals who qualify for public assistance and/or are otherwise unable to pay. Please contact me at the email above to inquire. Additional work-trdae positions may be considered for washing bottles and jars or other apothecary tasks.
Thanks for reading! I look forward to meeting you and exploring the plant world together.
