Farm Based Education Gathering for farmers, teachers, homeschool leaders

Fox Haven and the Farm Based Educator Network team up to offer this workshop that equips you to bring what you love about the farm and garden to life for visitors of all ages.
Participate in demonstrations of lessons taught for adults and for children.
Learn how you can incorporate Next Generation Science standards, Agricultural Science/Lit standards, Common Core standards, and Environmental Literature standards into your lessons at your farm or garden.
Meet wonderful people who have a passion for teaching students of all ages about where their food comes from, how to grow it in sustainable and creative ways – in urban and rural settings – and how to interact with animals and the environment on the farm and in the garden in healthy ways.
Lunch will be served. Please let us know if you have special dietary restrictions when you register.
Dress for the weather, bring a water bottle, notebook, and something to write with. If you have a lesson you want to share or do further work on, bring that too.
Fee: $15.00, includes lunch
