Felted Wool Handbags
November 26, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sheep were among the first animals to be domesticated by humans, useful not only for their meat but for their woolly coats. Felted wool was one of the first forms of fabric utilized by early humans. In this class we will learn the basics of transforming wool into felt. You will then create wet wool felted handbags which you finish with a variety of natural buttons, straps, and embellishments.
Soap and hot water will be used in this class and moderate arm strength and physical endurance will be required.
**Participation is limited to 10 people. Traditional shepherds pie lunch will be provided.
Workshop Date: November 26th, 10am- 2pm
Cost: $60
Location: Charm City Farms Brick Barn
Instructor: Gianina Dotterweich
