Spring’s Secrets
Spring is the time of year when we go searching for the early mushrooms – specifically, Morels! These delicious yet fickle mushrooms are highly responsive to temperature and moisture, which means they may be out in force or they may be few and far between. Such is the lay of the foragers land. We will also have our eyes out for other spring mushrooms, including Pheasants Back, Wood Ears, Spring Oysters, and other fungal standbys, as well as any spring greens we come across.
We will go over the beginning basics of wild mushroom identification to start, but will spend most of our time out in the field looking for mushrooms.
