The bottle gourd, or calabash squash, is one of the oldest human cultivated plants, and for good reason! Anyone who has devoted themselves to the creating of baskets or burn bowls can appreciate the magic of growing a water-tight and versatile vessel. In this workshop learn how to fashion a dried bottle gourd into a lightweight yet sturdy, wax-lined bowl or water bottle. Participants will also go home with a copious amount of seeds to grow their own bottle gourds this coming Spring.
This workshop will take some focus, steady perseverance, and attention to detail.
