KCDC’s Tie-Dye Derby

Join the Knowledge Commons DC community for a tie-dye afternoon at Red Derby on Sunday, May 7!
You’ll learn all about KCDC’s summer plans, help us raise money, and get a cool new wardrobe addition in the process.
Here’s the idea:
KCDC will have a limited number of shirts ($10) to dye, along with bandanas ($5) and totes ($10)–additionally, you can bring your own items to dye ($5). We’ll walk you through the process, and when you’re done you’ll have a hot new item and some new skills**
These donations will help KCDC continue to offer our unique, free, and low-cost programming across D.C.
While we have to keep everything outside (it’s messy: read below), participants are encouraged to make themselves at home either inside the bar or on the roof-top deck. Red Derby has a rockin’ Sunday happy hour from 5-8 pm, with $1 off everything. Just a reminder that the bar is cash-only.
ALL are welcome to join: past KCDC students, volunteers, teachers, newbies, media, and future partners. We already can’t wait for this amazing and fun community event!

**NOTE: Dye-ing can get messy, so dress accordingly for this event (AKA don’t wear your favorite tank or sundress).
