Marylanders Speak to Governor Hogan
October 4, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Doors open at 7:00.
Hosted DoTheMostGood MoCo, Indivisible All In, Indivisible Cabin John, Diversity Matters, Indivisible Montgomery, and Takoma Park Mobilization.
Governor Hogan REFUSED requests from 600 Marylanders to hold a forum sometime this fall or winter on key issues raised by Trump administration’s policies. These issues are too important for Marylanders to wait for the Governor to lead, so we have asked three policy experts to address how Maryland can respond. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions for our panel after RSVPing for the forum by clicking Ticket Information above to get to our Eventbrite page.
Program
* Opening remarks by Congressman Jamie Raskin
* Expert Panel
– Leni Preston, President, Consumer Health First
– Mike Tidwell, Founder & Director, Chesapeake Climate
Action Network
– David Hornbeck, Past Maryland State Superintendent of
Schools, Co-founder, Strong Schools Maryland
* Attendees vote on where our Governor should take a stand
* Results will be reported to state officials and the media.
Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions to our speakers after RSVP on Eventbrite.
