Meal in a Pot (presented by Michael Andorsky)
Limited space or poor soil make container gardening an ideal solution for having a beautiful garden that supports pollinators. This presentation covers challenges and solutions for the pollinator container garden. Special considerations regarding soil, overwintering, type of container used, how to keep containers in bloom for an entire season and container designs are all discussed.
Gardening for the Butterfly Effect (presented by Betty Walke)
Our pollinators are under threat. As Master Gardeners, we can provide them with the habitat they need while making our gardens more beautiful with their presence. This presentation is an overview of butterflies in our gardens: the butterfly life cycle, caterpillar/host plant importance, and butterfly-friendly gardening practices.
