OktoberForest “Capture the Water” with Heavy Seas
October 21, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
OktoberForest is a nationwide Conservancy initiative highlighting the importance of healthy forests and clean water. We all know that our body is made up of 60 percent water, but did you know that 95 percent of beer is water? And more than 50 percent of America’s water comes from our forests?
If you are a fan of capture the flag, then join us for a game of “capture the water” at Patterson Park. Conservation Ecologist Deborah Landau will kick things off by sharing how the Conservancy is using controlled burns to help restore healthy forests.
Afterwards you’re invited to Heavy Seas Alehouse (1300 Bank St., Baltimore, MD 21231) to mingle with Conservancy staff and fellow healthy forest, clean water, and good beer enthusiasts!
Be one of the first 20 people to register and receive a free OktoberForest t-shirt! RSVP here > http://support.nature.org/site/Calendar/?view=RSVP&id=10527
This event is free and open to anyone 21 years and older.
