RiverPalooza: Women on the Water

September 9, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Enjoy a paddle with your Potomac Riverkeeper on this wide and lazy stretch of river which is part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. This part of the Potomac River is 8 miles of placid, gently flowing currents from Edward’s Ferry all the way down to Seneca Creek Park at Riley’s Lock, making it the perfect stretch for even beginner paddlers. Paddlers will also enjoy a beautiful sunset from the river, one of the best times to see wildlife. Edwards Ferry has a large boat ramp that is a popular spot for smallmouth bass fishing, so feel free to bring a fishing pole (but be sure to have your license!).
