School Garden Planting & Urbana Happy Hour

Join Slow Food DC and Snail of Approval Winner Urbana Dining & Drinks, as we plant seedlings at the nearby School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens. Afterwards, celebrate with good food and libations!
The garden tour and planting will begin at 10:00am at School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens and last until about 12:00noon. After the group planting and a short discussion led by Slow Food DC Board members, guests will make their way to Urbana Dining & Drinks, located at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar DC in Dupont Circle (2121 P Street NW) for a happy hour reception featuring Urbana’s very own locally-sourced menu.
Tickets include one beer, wine or cocktail from lead bartender Andrea Tateosian, as well as this delicious menu:
-Tallegio Flatbread topped with Tuscan Kale, Swiss Chard, and Arugula from Urbana’s garden
-Giardiniera made with rooftop vegetables
-Garden Broccoli Rabe, Pancetta, and Parmesan Arancini
-Garden Radishes with Truffle Butter
