Join Slow Food DC members and friends for a celebratory evening to honor our 2016 Snail of Approval winners! Enjoy delicious food and drink, while you mix and mingle with the individuals dedicated to shaping our food community.
This year’s event will be held at Stomping Ground, in the heart of Del Ray, Alexandria. We’ll enjoy a casual evening featuring local, seasonal, and hand-crafted small bites from our friends at Stomping Ground — and yes, their famous buttermilk biscuits will be featured!
The menu will include:
-Southern Sausage Balls with our Biscuit Dough, House Sausage, Cheddar & Cream Cheeses, Spicy Aioli
-Mushroom Toasts with Whipped Goat Cheese, Dill, Lemon (v)
-Mini Ham Biscuits, Pickled Mustard Seed, Mixed Greens
-Chili- Seasoned Vegetable Spears with Lime and Flaky Sea Salt (gf, v)
-Pear and Cheddar with Creamed Honey and Espelette Pepper (gf, v)
-Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats (gf, v)
Early bird tickets are on sale through February 19 ($25 with a drink/$20 without). There will also be a silent auction featuring food-related items, and other surprises from local food purveyors.
Free street parking is available in the Del Ray neighborhood. The nearest metro station is Braddock Road on the yellow/blue lines, with buses running to Stomping Ground from metro along Mt. Vernon Avenue.
