Sustainable DC 2.0 Working Group Kickoff Event

October 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Sustainable DC 2.0 Working Group Kickoff
Wednesday, October 18, 6 – 8 pm

We spent the summer talking with residents across the District about their hopes, goals, and concerns. Between 3,000 surveys, 18 pop-up events, four focus groups, and a citywide telephone poll we’ve got a lot to share! Come hear what we learned and find out how you can get involved in updating Sustainable DC, the District’s sustainability plan.

You spoke and we listened…
You want to have a conversation in your part of town about things you care about. Makes sense to us, too. That’s why we’re going to try something different for this meeting.

Instead of a formal, traditional meeting, we’re going to have four conversations across town–and live stream the whole thing for those who want to join from home.

The four physical locations are:
•Lamond-Riggs Library: 5401 South Dakota Ave. NE
•Dorothy I. Heights/Benning Library: 3935 Benning Rd. NE
•DC Office of Planning: 1100 4th St. SW
•Francis Gregory Library: 3660 Alabama Ave. SE
Virtual:
•Tune in to Facebook Live
•Interact with us on Twitter and use #SDCkickoff
No matter how you choose to participate, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of learning and discussion on a more sustainable DC.

Following this kickoff event, we’ll launch topic-specific working groups – such as waste, water, and energy – that will be open to anyone who is interested in participating. Stay tuned for more details on how to join the working groups!
