From Inspiration to Maturity
A beautiful meadow filled with native flowers and a woodland garden now grace the grounds at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia. Please join us for a very special presentation by Phil Goetkin, National Park Service award winner and former Chief of Grounds and Natural Resources for Wolf Trap. Mr. Goetkin will reveal the planning, design and creation of the remarkable native meadow. He will share his commitment and enthusiasm for preservation of natural resources, the use of sustainable landscape techniques, and the restoration and creative use of habitat landscapes. Mr. Goetkin also designed two rain gardens and two demonstration organic vegetable gardens as well as planting over 1,000 native trees and shrubs at Wolf Trap.
