Trail Workday: Berger Preserve

September 22, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Nature Conservancy is participating in the United Way Day of Action. We are looking for volunteers to help build and re-arrange puncheon (a.k.a.—a type of low boardwalk) at Alexander Berger Preserve by nailing lumber together and hauling it into the preserve about a mile. We also need volunteers to help cut back overgrown vegetation and to perform side-hill cutting along the trail in order to widen and flatten it.

If interested and available, contact Jen Dalke, volunteer program manager, at jdalke@tnc.org or 434-951-0572 (w) or 540-335-1302 (c). Carpooling may be available from Charlottesville.
