Urban Forest Walk: October 22nd

Jenny Willoughby, Sustainability Manager of Frederick, will lead us on a walking tour downtown as we explore the idea of an urban forest. The city of Frederick has set goals for canopy cover in our urban areas to bring nature to where we live and work and to harness the eco-services trees provide. How are we doing on that goal? What trees make up the forest we are creating?
This walk is inspired by the book Urban Forests by Jill Jones – you can read the book to deepen your knowledge or just come and learn with us.
We will announce where the walk will start closer to date.
