Webinar — Planning for Climate Change and Stormwater Resiliency

December 13, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Is your community unsure of how to respond to increasing rain events and flooding?
Is your stormwater infrastructure being overwhelmed?

This webinar will provide an overview of the problem and will summarize regional and local efforts to respond to more frequent and intense storm events in the mid-Atlantic. In addition, participants will be introduced to the Climate Resilience Toolkit developed by the University of North Carolina and hear about two local case studies – the City of Baltimore and the City of Norfolk. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Heidi Bonnaffon, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments
  • Jim Fox, UNC Asheville National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center
  • Kim Grove, City of Baltimore
  • Scott Smith, City of Norfolk

The CWEA Stormwater Committee webinar is presented to facilitate peer-to-peer information exchange for representatives of regulated stormwater programs. Join industry leaders in reviewing how we arrived where we are, where we might go, and the challenges that must be overcome.

1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be offered for this webcast.
