Maryland Native Plant Society will visit another upland terrace-gravel forest. This is a Fort where the earthen fortifications can be seen and experienced as an historic example of a regenerated forest. We will explore the geology and the extensive blueberry/huckleberry/azalea patches in this dry, upland Chestnut Oak forest.
