Cultivate the City 2017 Volunteer Happy Hour

April 10, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Come get to know Cultivate the City, our 25+ farms around DC and all the wonderful volunteers that make it possible!
For this happy hour, we will be learning about Cultivate the City- the staff, how it was started, and where it is today! You will also get the chance to socialize with other volunteers and determine how you can get involved with our school gardens and other farming projects around D.C. Best of all? We’ll serve up drinks made by the mixologist at H St’s newest hotspot- Fare Well, using ingredients from our farms! Free Entry & Happy Hour Deals! Hope you can join us!
FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, 21 and up! Please remember to bring your ID, no exceptions.

I seriously have a black thumb, is this volunteering with CTC for me?

Yes! No previous gardening experience is necessary to volunteer. We’re here to make gardening fun and accessible for anyone and we want to help give you the experience to start growing more food on your own, with whatever limited space you may have.

What is H St. Farms/ Where is it?

H St. Farms is Cultivate the City’s newest urban farm project and we are transforming the rooftop of W.S. Jenks and Son at 910 Bladensburg Rd. NE into a vertical farm, urban farm supply center and a kick-ass event space, with the help of several other urban agriculture organizations based right here in DC!
