Lecture: The Space in Between Project

Space in Between is a community collaborative project that centers on promotion of cultural dialogues on themes related to community, immigration, labor practices, and cultural identity. It uses traditional sewing and embroidery techniques from Los Tenangos, Hidalgo, Mexico. This embroidered narrative element is combined in creative ways on the surface of desert plant sculptures. Join artist Margarita Cabrera as she discusses the fabrication of this project and the conversations it produces.
