Risks Of Natural Gas Pipelines in Virginia’s Future
June 17, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The proposal to build three pipelines through some of the most beautiful wilderness in Virginia poses a serious threat to the environment along the route. Thousands of Virginia citizens are motivated to stopping the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline, the Mountain Valley Pipeline, the WB Xpress Pipeline, and expansion of the Loudoun Compressor Station. These Virginia activists are part of a growing movement of communities fighting back against fossil fuel infrastructure around the country. Speakers will be leading pipeline activists and citizens who will discuss opportunities for citizens to make an impact by joining and being active in the Stop the Pipelines campaign.
