Rotary Club of Washington, D.C.’s Second Annual Duck Race is set for May 6, 2017, at The Yards Park (355 Water Street SE in Washington, D.C.) through the generous support of the Capitol Riverfront BID and Gray Graphics!

This will be an enjoyable, family-friendly event and festival and a great fundraiser for the D.C. Rotary Club and many non-profit organizations that support the health, education, and welfare of youth!

You have the opportunity to “sponsor” a toy duck for just $10 (or less per duck if you sponsor more than one!) The environmentally-friendly toy ducks will be placed onto a short, contained race course along the Anacostia River. Significant prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Duck Race, with a chance for one person to win $1 million! In addition, the event will include music and other entertainment, food, artists and much more. Funds raised through this event provide annual grants to local organizations and international projects! Our first-ever Duck Race last April attracted over 1,000 participants, as we raced 3,300 rubber ducks on the Anacostia River to raise more than $25,000 in funds to organizations that enhance the health, education, and welfare of youth!

The D.C. Rotary Club has been serving communities for 104 years and awards annual grants in excess of $160,000 to more than 30 local non-profits, hosts career fairs for D.C. high school students, provides dictionaries to local 3rd graders and feeds the homeless every month in the nation’s capital.
